Ahead of the gala ceremony IPRA GWA 2024, on the same day, communications professionals from Serbia, the region and the world will gather at the PR Summit, with the theme “Trust is PRiority!”. Due to the hyperproduction of information from day to day, a growing distrust is a global problem, and lack of understanding grows accordingly, so the role and responsibility of communications professionals in shaping the messages that are presented to the public is increasingly big – considering the impact they have on forming the public opinion.
Both events – the IPRA GWA Gala ceremony and the PR Summit will be held at the Hotel Metropol Palace on October 18, and they are meant for:
– communication professionals from all fields (integrated communications, media relations, digital communications, social networks, corporate communications, brand communications…),
– communication professionals of all generations,
– managers and leaders – for whom communication is an important strategic tool in running teams, companies and organizations,
– entrepreneurs – who use communication to strategically position themselves in the market.
The information, application forms and fees can be found at this link.
The annual IPRA Golden World Awards (GWA) initiative, established in 1990, recognizes excellence in public relations practice worldwide in a variety of categories. Recipients of the award take particular pride in the recognition granted to their entry as meeting international standards of excellence in public relations. The Global Contribution Award recognizes a campaign with an objective of meeting one of the UN's 17 Sustainable Development Goals.
Every year, the recognition is awarded by the IRPA international jury of 40 communications professionals, to the best campaigns of companies, organizations and agencies, which have shown excellence in a professional sense, but also inspired changes in their communities or globally. This year, the titles will go to over 25 countries from Belgrade!
IPRA, the International Public Relations Association, was established in 1955, and is the leading global network for PR professionals in their personal capacity. It has a consultative status with the United Nations since 1983. Both IPRA and its members have one mission: “Leading trust and ethics in global communication!”
