Building permit issued for first phase of works on National Stadium

The Ministry of Construction has issued the building permit to the Ministry of Finance, as the investor, for the first phase of the construction of the National Football Stadium with side features in Surcin. This permit, as can be seen in the decision published on the website of the Central Register of Unified Procedures for the Issuing of Building Permits, encompasses the execution of preparatory works, earth works, but also works on foundations, which entails the driving of the piles, the building of the foundation slab and setting up the installation beneath the slab.

As can be seen from the document, the estimated value of the works is RSD 3.94 billion.

– The Law on Special Procedures for the Purpose of the Realization of the International Specialized Exhibition EXPO BELGRADE 2027 proscribes that, for the construction of facilities covered by the Spatial Plan of the Special-Purpose Area of the National Football Stadium, decisions on the building permit may be issued in phases due to the complexity of the facility and the technology of the execution of the works, as per the investor’s request – the decision specifies and adds that the second phase entails the construction of the remaining part of the facility.

Let us remind that the stadium arena will have three stand levels for 52,241 spectators. The stadium parcel has an area of 318,136 m2, and the stadium will take up a circular space with a diameter of 292 meters.

The foundation stone for the construction of the National Football Stadium was laid down in May 1 this year.
