Scania in Stara Pazova as of 2013 - Swedish vehicle manufacturer starts construction of sales and service center in Krnjesevci
The Swedish manufacturer of freight vehicles, buses, ship and industrial engines Scania will start the construction of a sales and service center in Stara Pazova in spring 2012. The complex will be modeled after Scania sales and service centers in Europe, and it will comprise 1,600 square meters of office and workshop space, as well as a parking lot and a showroom space for used trucks.
- Scania Serbia acquired a 3-hectare lot in Krnjesevci in 2006 with the intention to build a sales and service center. We had been waiting for the adoption of the Master Plan until end-2010. We are now preparing the documentation we need to submit in order to obtain a location permit. We expect all paper works to be finished in spring 2012 when the construction works are expected to kick off, and all works should be completed in 2013. Our cooperation with the municipality of Stara Pazova and its structures has been good so far and there is no reason for that to change in the future – Tomislav Popsavin, director of the company Scania Serbia, explains for eKapija.
The primary purpose of the center is to provide repair services and sell new and used Scania vehicles and spare parts.
Scania Serbia has about 30 employees, but Popsavin says that that number will definitely grow as the business develops.
