The Secretariat for Environmental Protection has opened the tender for the construction and equipping of the Waste Collection Center in Dobanovci, that is, the facility for the treatment of bulky waste collected in the territory of Belgrade. The center is planned to be located on the cadaster parcel 6194 KO Dobanovci, around 25 km from the Belgrade center.

– Since an unsanitary landfill has existed in said location, the initial activities toward ameliorating said unsanitary landfill – garbage disposal site, have been done. Within the project of preparatory works, additional development is planned in the location of the cadaster parcel 6194 to the planned cote for the preparation of the base for the construction part of establishing an embankment for the construction of the complex – the documentation says.

For the needs of the construction of the waste collection center in Dobanovci, as added, the decision on the building permit of February 23 last year has been obtained. The plan entails the construction of the first phase of the complex of the recycling yard – Waste Collection Center, and, through those works, V-category facilities will be formed, with a total GLA of 1,734.79 m2, of which the aboveground GLA is 1,734.79 m2.

Within the project, the building parcel “GP9” is defined, whose borders match the borders of the complex. The parcel has an irregular elongated shape and takes up an area of around 1.6 ha. The Veliki Begej canal, which flows into the Galovica canal, is located in close proximity to said location, and from all other sides, it is bordered by agricultural land.

Said complex is accessed through the public traffic route which is planned within the Urban Project for the construction of the traffic routes on parts of GP141 and GP145. At the moment, an uncategorized road is located in the location of the future traffic route, and the planned III-grade public traffic route is two-way, with a driving lane 12 meters wide and sidewalks on both sides, each 2.5 meters wide.

– After a citizen enters the location by a private vehicle, the authorized person will do the check and give instructions as to where the bulky waste can be disposed of. The vehicle them moves down the marked one-way route and unloads the bulky waste in line with the provided instructions. The zone for the reception of the bulky waste which the citizens bring is designed so as to form a maneuvering area which is accessed by a ramp with a 10% incline – the documentation clarifies.

The trucks with containers which arrive to the location will pass through the ramp and arrive at the weighbridge, where the weight is measured, and they will unload the containers near the recycling hall. By a one-way route, they will go to the back end of the parcel in the northwestern part of the parcel, where they will pick up the empty containers and leave by taking the south side of parcel back to the weighbridge, where they will be weighed again, now empty, following which they will leave the complex.
