New tariff policy in Telekom Serbia - more expensive will be "hello" in a joint

The new price list, which Telekom of Serbia would apply from May, 1st, shows not only increase of the fixed telephone services, but also a significant change in tariffs. Serbia, will be divided in the national phone traffic into 2, instead of present 4 zones.

Local and first inter zone are connected into one, in which the traffic will be done within one network group. In the new first zone, one impuls will last in the period of "heavy traffic" (from 7 a.m to 9 p.m.) one minute. In the "weak period" (from 9 p.m. till 7 .am. and during weekends) the impuls will last 2 minutes.

The second and the third inter zones are also connected into one. In the new, second zone, which means traffic between network groups, impuls will last 12 seconds in the heavy and 24 seconds and the weak traffic. Another important novely will be abolishement of the 150 free impulses which every subscriber had rights on, within the monthly phone subscription.
It is said in 'Telekom' that in the first zone (present local and zone1) the price of one minute of conversation in the heavy traffic will be 0.3037 dinars for the citizens and 0.5019 for the companies. In the second zone (present 2nd and 3rd) telephoning in the heavy period will be paid 1.518 dinars to citizens and 2.509 to companies. On all other amounts, should be added 18% for PDV.

The authorities claim that rebalance would bring cheaper telephoning to all users which were till now in smaller places in rural, more poor areas. And because of that users in larger cities (Belgrade, Novi Sad, Kragujevac, Nis), which were doing most of their telephoning in the local area, but who are more stable in their payments will be the ones who will mostly feel the increase.

By the end of May, Telekom Serbia will introduce a pre-paid service in fixed telephony, which would allow more cheaper conversations with other countries. By entering codes of the bought pre-paid cards on house or business fixed phone, as well as in public phone boots, depending on the distance, telephoning with "ours abroad" will be cheaper by 10-72%.
