The city of Vranje leased 205,674 m2 of land to Solarbelt company for the construction of two solar power plants

The Mayor of Vranje, Slobodan Milenkovic, and the director of the Solarbelt company, Zoltan Tamas, signed an Agreement on the long-term lease of land in public ownership at cadastral municipality KO Soderce, covering a total area of ​​205,674 m2, according to the City's official website.

Namely, there are four plots for which the company will allocate the amount of RSD 438 thousand per month for rent, for a period of 30 years. The plan envisages the construction of two solar power plants with a capacity of 9 megawatts each.


- This was a thorny road, but I am glad that we succeeded and that the city of Vranje is finally getting a solar power plant. To the pride of all of us. Also, I would like to thank the persistence and sacrifice of Solarbelt's management - the mayor emphasized.

Zoltan Tamas expressed his satisfaction that Vranje will become known for the largest solar park in Serbia. The start of construction is planned for 2025.
