Tender for preparation of technical documentation for first phase of reconstruction and extension of General Hospital in Valjevo opened

The City Administration of Valjevo has opened the tender for the preparation of the technical documentation (preliminary design, feasibility study, approval planning, main project) for the first phase of the reconstruction and extension of the General Hospital in Valjevo.

The subject of the preparation of the technical documentation envisaged by this project task is the further development of the Preliminary Design, based on the issued location requirements for the complex which is formed on the cadaster parcel no. 2860/1 KO Valjevo, and which is planned for a hospital according to the General Regulation Plan “North” and the Urban Project confirmed by the Ministry of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure. The total area covered by the urban project amounts to around 11 ha and matches the area encompassed by the border of the existing cadaster parcel 2860/1 KO Valjevo.

The minister for public investments of Serbia, Darko Glisic, said on the occasion of the opening of this public procurement procedure that, in the second half of 2025, the concrete date of the beginning of the works would be known.

– What is important is that the realization of the project has begun. The plan is for the hospital complex, which was built in the 1970s and 1980s, to be fully reconstructed and for the necessary facilities to be extended so that the residents of Valjevo would have, in one place, a health center that meets the highest standards when it comes to the provision of healthcare – said Glisic.

What is planned in the first phase

The plan is to reconstruct and extend the complex of the General Hospital in Valjevo in line with the Urban Project confirmed by the Ministry of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure and in line with the Preliminary Design prepared by SET d.o.o. Sabac. The arrangement of the facilities on the parcel, with their purposes and positions, as well as the planned phase-based realization of the construction, imposes a zone-based arrangement in the complex, the documentation points out. Each zone is a separate functional unit harmonized with the phase-based construction of the complex.

The preparation of the technical documentation for the 1st phase of the works pertains to several existing and planned facilities:

The construction Facility 21 (psychiatry) – for the needs of the moving of the services during the realization of the construction

The reconstruction of Facility 20 (technical block)

The construction of infrastructural facilities (30-PRP/distribution switchgear 31-Substation and 36- Hydrant water tank

The demolition of a part of Facility 2 (polyclinic)

The reconstruction of Facility 4 (oncology) and the construction of a heated corridor between the facilities 4-5, 4-22, 4-3

The construction of Facility 23 (diagnostics)

The reorganization of the space within Facility 1 (Russian hospital) in order to free a part of the facility planned for the removal and demolition of a part of Facility 1 (Russian hospital)

The construction of guardhouses.

The development of free areas (traffic routes, footpaths, green areas…)

The construction of Facility 24 (internal medicine block)

The estimated value of the procurement is RSD 78.1 million without the VAT.
