Science-Technology Park Novi Sad bringing chocolate revolution to Serbia with 3D printing

The Science-Technology Park Novi Sad has successfully tested an innovation that has made a step forward connecting technology and gastronomy – “printing” chocolate with the help of the 3D printing technology.

Thanks to this extraordinary endeavor, as announced, a project has been realized which will enable the creation of unique chocolate artworks, with a great involvement of the team that was brought together by curiosity and desire to combine and create new patents.

The latest equipment was used for the development of this innovation, a 3D printer equipped with an extension for 3D printing with chocolate – WiiBoox Lucky Bot, of a new startup partner. This technology will enable the making of personalized chocolate creations the kinds of which have not been possible so far. The project was tested with a global leader in the production of high-quality chocolate and cocoa products Barry Callebaut. Interesting shapes were created from their chocolate, and their experts provided support and approval, which gives an additional significance to this innovative endeavor.

The team of experts that worked tirelessly on the realization of this project made the chocolate 3D printer a reality, and it consists of the head of the sector for development of the STP Novi Sad, Vladimir Todorovic, the professor at the Faculty of Technical Sciences Dejan Movrin and the talented mechatronics student Mladen Milic.

This autumn, the STP Novi Sad plans a range of events and workshops where the visitors will have the opportunity to get to know this fascinating technology and enjoy unique chocolate creations.
