Tender for reconstruction of Mileva Maric Einstein’s house in Ruma opened (PHOTO)

The Municipal Administration of Ruma has opened the tender for the reconstruction and extension of the residential-office facility with a re-purposing into an office-residential facility – The Mileva Maric Einstein Memorial House. The value of the procurement is estimated at RSD 37.6 million.

With the reconstruction, the facility should get another floor, that is, a loft.

As announced earlier, after the architectural and civil engineering works are done, the future Mileva Maric Einstein Memorial House will have a gallery space, a memorial room, a space for promotions, screenings, lectures and a depot.

The plan is for the second part of the project to be realized during 2025, in the year marking 150 years from the birth of Mileva Maric Einstein.

The facility will have two thematic wholes – a memorial room dedicated to the Maric family, showing the life and work of the world-famous scientist, as well as the work of her brother Milos Maric, also a prominent scientist, whose works in the fields of mitosis and amitosis have set the foundations for cloning, as well as a gallery space meant for exhibiting the wealth of the modern artworks of the municipality of Ruma.
