Google Dart - New web programming language
A few days after Google was caught registering a bunch of Dart-related domain names, and the inevitable storm of speculation, it has now emerged that Dart is a new programming language for “structured web programming.” Two of the search giant's engineers will discuss Dart, Google's new language, at the Goto international software development conference on October 10. News of the new language was posted to the Goto website.
There aren't yet any technical details on Dart but the bios of the two Googlers presenting at Goto strongly suggest a bent towards programming for the web and browser.
Google has already released one language in recent history — Go — so we can assume that Dart won’t be a C-like system-oriented language. Dart would rather compete almost directly with JavaScript and Python, the latter of which is one of Google’s most popular languages.
