To airport at only 100 km per hour – New panels and rules on “highway” through Belgrade

The replacement of the full signalization on the former highway to Belgrade, which is designated as a motorway according to the new categorization, is to begin. Green panels will be replaced with blue ones and the replacement process will take 50 days, announced the competent minister, Goran Vesic.

A total of 318 signs, 25 big panels, will be replaced.

– What the drivers need to know is that, now, when the new panels and new signalization is installed, the speed limit on the motorway is 100 km per hour, and no longer 130 as on a highway, and it is 80 km per hour through populated sections – said Vesic.

He explains that this means that, from the Dobanovci interchange to the Bubanj Potok interchange, the speed limit on that motorway is 100 km/h, and through the city itself, through the parts which go through New Belgrade and in the part after the Emergency Service building toward Bubanj Potok, the speed limit is 80 km/h.

So far, the speed limit from the interchange near the Wholesale Open Market, through the airport, to the Dobanovci interchange has been 120 km/h.
