Italian credit of EUR 100 million for decarbonization at EPS

Five agreements will be signed at the Trieste Business Forum, and according to the findings of Italian media, one of the principal Italian development banks, CDP, will approve a loan of EUR 100 million to Elektroprivreda Srbije (EPS) for the decarbonization process.

Also, an agreement between Telekom and the Italian company Sace is planned. This company specializes in supporting local companies, especially small and medium ones, which want to grow in Italy and the global market. The agreement guarantees EUR 150 to 200 million for Telekom. In return, the Serbian state company will “favor” Italian companies, especially in the IT sector, commercial distribution and purchase and sales of television rights, reports the Italian news agency Agenzia nova.

Sace will also sign another agreement, which includes a guarantee for a loan of 160 million of the total amount of EUR 200 million, which will be paid to the Ministry of Finance of Serbia, with the aim of strengthening the commercial relations, especially in transport and tourism, telecommunications, energy and IT sector. Both agreements in which Sace is participating will be signed by Sace CEO Alessandra Ricci.


Simest, a company which supports the growth of Italian companies through the internationalization of their business, will sign an agreement with the Development Agency of Serbia (DAS) which aims to develop and strengthen the relations between the two countries, promoting the joint investment possibilities.

Finally, Finest, a company which deals in business internationalization, and the DAS will sign an agreement to the end of strengthening the bilateral cooperation through the exchange of information and experiences, seminars and staff training, regular consultations, invitations to events and the organization of a joint discussion about business opportunities.
