Colorful AVA world expanding – Another 18 new shops arriving

In less than two years, AVA Shopping Park has been visited by more than two million people, and over 55 local and national brands will find their home by the end of the summer

On May 16, AVA Shopping Park got new members. The already well-oiled team was joined by carefully selected national and international brands – for all tastes and all generations – PEPCO, Terranova, Kigili, Watch, Kafeterija, Fly London, Zaspavanje, Eglo, Dr. Max, Premium Pet, Extreme Intimo, Lilly, Barbolini, Bonatti.

The new part of AVA Shopping Park was officially opened by IKEA CEO & CSO Ekaterina Egorova, H. E. Annika Ben David, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Sweden in Serbia, and Aleksandar Rajcevic, IKEA AVA Business Integration Manager.

– Two years after the opening of the first phase of AVA Shopping Park, I am happy to see the completion of this project. With a total investment of EUR 62 million, we have continued the expansion of the Bubanj Potok area, with the support of the local economic development. This is a new turning point that IKEA is achieving in Serbia. With a total of EUR 131 million since IKEA entered the market of Serbia, it strengthens our dedication to staying in Serbia and continuing to invest in this market – said Ekaterina Egorova, CEO & CSO at IKEA South East Europe.

According to Aleksandar Rajcevic, the AVA story began over two years ago, when IKEA arrived to Serbia.

– In a very short period, we have made serious progress in developing AVA Shopping Park and positioning it in the market, with very strong competition. Today, I am able to say with pride that, in less than two years that AVA has existed, we have managed, all together, to become recognized as a family shopping park, with excellent prices and an excellent offer. Over 2 million visitors have come here in the part period, and not just from Belgrade either, but also from other cities from throughout Serbia, realizing a turnover of EUR 60 million for our tenants. We are now joined by 18 new brands, so with that, with a big and unique jumping place-playground, by the end of the summer, we will fully round out the offer of AVA Shopping Park – pointed out Aleksandar Rajcevic.


After the official opening of the new part of AVA Shopping Park, a unique garden was officially opened too, representing a special unit within the park. This garden will soon become the habitat and the place for feeding for many different animal and insect species. This way, AVA Shopping Park, together with IKEA, once again shows that it honors the principles of corporate responsibility and that its priorities are the raising of awareness of biodiversity, especially the local one, and promoting it.

On the occasion of the opening of new stores, AVA Shopping Park also prepared a unique entertainment-educational program for all generations, which lasted until May 19, with excellent discounts.
