Belgrade Land Development Agency has announced a new tender for the design and construction of the first phase of the wastewater treatment plant in Krnjaca.

This is the third time that a contractor has been sought for the construction of a wastewater treatment plant for settlements on the left bank of the Danube in Belgrade. The previous tender procedures from May 2022 and November 2021 have both been suspended.

The work is financed by the European Investment Bank, as part of the project to build a sewage system on the left bank of the Danube in the Belgrade municipality of Palilula.

The project, as stated, aims to improve wastewater treatment services before discharge into the river in the settlements of Kotez, Krnjaca and Borca.

The plant will include an activated sludge process with enhanced biological phosphorus removal and sludge treatment including anaerobic digestion, energy recovery and solar drying.

The deadline for applications is August 9.

We reminder our readers that the tender for the design and construction of the primary and secondary sewerage network in the communities of Kotez, Krnjaca and Borca is currently in progress, and was recently extended once again.
