French Carrefour to come to Serbia – One of world’s biggest retail chains

One of the world’s biggest retail chains, the French Carrefour, is coming to Serbia.

The Carrefour branch in Greece has signed exclusive rights for the representation of Carrefour in the Serbian market as well, Retail Serbia has learned. The company Retail & More A.E. is planning to bring Carrefour to Serbia, but also to several other markets in the Balkans.

In cooperation with partners in Bulgaria, the Greek company recently opened the first Carrefour supermarkets in Bulgaria. The new plan envisages for 70 new facilities to be opened in Greece and Bulgaria in the coming period.

Last year, Carrefour took over all the Cora hypermarkets in Romania and announced new investments. All the facilities were recently rebranded and now they operate under the Carrefour brand.
