Free training for Serbian automotive companies

The Responsible Business Hub of the Chamber of Commerce of Serbia (CCIS), in cooperation with the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ), members of the Responsible Supply Chain Initiative and the German consulting company Part of the Solution (POTS), is organizing free training for nine Serbian companies which operate in the automotive industry and participate in the supply chains of foreign companies.

The aim of the training is to prepare the Serbian companies to implement the standards and principles of the protection of human rights and the living environment in their operations, so as to respond to the demands of foreign clients as easily as possible, the CCIS announced.

The training, which will be held by international experts, will be realized in English between June 2024 and February 2025, and interested companies can apply for the program by sending a motivation letter by May 10 to [email protected]

– Most suppliers in Serbia, which are small and medium enterprises, have no internal procedures and can’t provide the data and reports on honoring human rights and the environment that their clients require. So, in cooperation with our partners, we are organizing three training cycles, the first of which will be held on June 18-19, then in October, whereas the final training will be realized at the beginning of 2025 – says Tanja Lindell, the head of the Responsible Business Hub project.

She adds that companies will get thorough knowledge, skills and resources necessary for an efficient implementation of the upcoming regulations and thereby improve their operations and competitiveness in supply chains.
