The members of the City Assembly of Kikinda have reached the decision on securing funds for the realization of capital investments – a mini facility for the processing of drinking waters in villages. The total value of that investment is around RSD 384 million for the first phase of the works in Mokrin, Idjos, Nakovo and Banatsko Veliko Selo and now they are looking for the most favorable bank to credit the investment, the local self-government announced.

– One of the biggest problems of our fellow citizens is certainly a lack of healthy drinking water, but after several decades, we are finally completing the biggest project such as the construction of the facility for the processing of drinking water in Kikinda itself, which means that we will soon get the kind of drinking water that the citizens deserve in the 21st century. Also, four fifths of the entire waterworks have been replaced, which is another goal which we have set and which we will realize – pointed out the mayor of Kikinda, Nikola Lukac.

RSD 166 million has been received from the Provincial Secretariat for Agriculture, so the City of Kikinda, as the investment progresses, will slowly create the conditions for signing the agreement with the most favorable bank.

– The City of Kikinda should take out a loan for a period no longer than five years with a grace period of one year. Considering that this is a very important investment, that we have obtained approval from the competent ministry, that we are liquid, this will certainly be a very important thing for our villages – explained Dijana Jaksic Kiurski, the deputy mayor.
