Laying down of foundation stone for construction of national football stadium in Surcin announced for May 1

The foundation stone for the construction of the national football stadium in Surcin will be laid down on May 1, announced the minister of finance of Serbia, Sinisa Mali.

He said that it was a very important project, because sports, that is, football, had become a serious global business, as he emphasized.

– Through the construction of the stadium, we want to bring new teams, events, tourists, develop a whole new, entirely different business – Mali said for TV Pink.

He reminded that three entirely new stadiums had already been built in Zajecar, Leskovac and Loznica and that some new activities had thereby been initiated in those cities.

– I have been to Leskovac, and, slowly, around the stadium, some new buildings are being raised already. So, one thing leads to another, that is, one investment leads to another – said Mali.
