APPLY FOR THE CHALLENGE CALL FOR INNOVATIVE SOLUTIONS FOR THE GREEN TRANSITION OF THE SERBIAN ECONOMY AND SOCIETY!
WHO CAN APPLY?
Public, private and social enterprises, research institutions, civil society organisations, farmers’ associations and cooperatives, local self-governments and managers of protected areas.
IN WHICH AREAS ARE WE LOOKING FOR INNOVATIONS?
The call covers all areas related to the Green Agenda for the Western Balkans:
- Decarbonisation – phasing out fossil fuels and transitioning to renewable energy sources;
- Circular economy – preservation and better use of natural resources;
- Depollution – reducing environmental and air pollution;
- Protection and conservation of nature and biodiversity; and
- Sustainable food systems and rural development.
WHAT TO EXPECT?
The applicants with the best proposals will receive mentorship and technical support to further develop their ideas, while the most successful ones will receive co-financing to put their projects into practise.
HOW TO APPLY AND WHEN IS THE DEADLINE?
The only way to apply for the Challenge Call for Proposals for innovative Solutions for the Green Transition is online, by filling in THIS form. Legal entities can apply individually or jointly for the public call.

Thanks to the support of the EU and the Government of Switzerland totalling USD 3.1 million, provided in the previous cycles of this challenge call, Serbia’s green transition pioneers are currently implementing 51 innovative solutions. You can read more about some of them HERE.
This call is part of the initiative “EU for the Green Agenda in Serbia” implemented with the technical and financial support of the European Union and in partnership with the Ministry of Environmental Protection by UNDP, in cooperation with the Embassy of Sweden and the European Investment Bank (EIB), with additional funding from the Governments of Sweden, Switzerland and Serbia.
