Gorenje no longer to manufacture freezers in Valjevo

From this month, Hisense Gorenje is no longer producing freezers in Valjevo. As they say in Gorenje, the production is now reoriented to refrigerators only.

With the aim of optimizing the supply chain and production locations for cooling devices within Hisense Group, the decision was made to shut down the production of freezers, Hisense Group says.

– In the coming period, the focus of the company is the production of built-in and premium devices, especially side-by-side refrigerators, which we produce for the markets of the entire Europe in our newly built factory Valjevo 3. With the opening of the new Hisense Europe new factory, the production capacity within the Valjevo location, which is the central European location of Hisense for the production of cooling devices, has been considerably expanded – says Maja Mekic, the company’s PR in Valjevo.

The employees from the line which is being shut down have already been moved to other, technologically more modern and ergonomic production lines in the factory, that is, to the production of latest-generation devices.
