Agreement on Early Operator Help on Project of Construction of Belgrade Subway Signed

As announced by the PUC Belgrade Metro and Train, and reported by Beoinfo, the signing of this agreement continues the cooperation and early operator support of RATP DEV in the process of designing and optimizing the infrastructure of the subway system in the capital of Serbia. The agreement entails management, the training of the staff to be hired to operate the Belgrade Subway, as well as the preparation of the procedure for management and maintenance, the installation of IT systems, supports, testing, commissioning and test operations.
Also, the agreement defines management, maintenance and commercial activities related to the project. This agreement pertains to part of the designing and preparations for the use and functioning of the subway system as the next phase, the announcement says.
– A safe, efficient and functional subway system is a very important part of the unique system of public transport of Belgrade. The construction of the subway system is of crucial importance for the improvement of public transport in the capital city and the improvement of the overall quality of life of the people of Belgrade, but also beyond, for the overall economic and technological development of the society. It is evident that early operator help and development, as well as the role and support of the partners from RATP DEV, are extremely important here – pointed out the secretary for public transport, Radovan Kremic.
The director of the PUC Belgrade Metro and Train, Andreja Mladenovic, pointed out that it was a “long-term and complex project which entails support and hiring of professional, experienced staff, as well as international partners, and RATP DEV is an important partner in the domain of early operator help.”
The director of the early operator help project, David Menge, emphasized on behalf of RATP DEV that the company was fully dedicated to results in the development of operator support for the Belgrade Subway system.
– We are a company with decades of experience in the development of public transport systems. All the skills and knowledge from Paris and other French cities, but also from 14 countries from four continents, where we are hired on a global level, with over 1.5 billion passengers a year which use our services, we will fully adapt to the concrete needs and specificities which pertain to the development of the system in Belgrade – concluded Menge.
