Srbislav Cvejic explains the advantages of the platform on a concrete example.
– A notary from Serbia will be able to check the power of attorney which is certified in the EU and concerns affairs in Serbia by contacting the colleague from the Union, who then informs them whether the document has been certified in that office and whether it is still valid and vice versa – explains Cvejic.
This will prevent the possibility of forging documents such as inheritance statements.
Cvejic says that, in addition to the power of attorney and inheritance statements, which are the most demanded, the public notary will also have insight into business registers, which, he notes, is very important for business operations.
He points to the fact that the citizens of Serbia will be able to have a document issued by a notary from the EU certified, that is, to have a copy of it certified.
– This way, we will be able to contact colleagues from the European Union and see whether that act has truly been issued, whereby we prevent forgeries – Cvejic says and adds that Serbian notaries and notaries from the EU member states will have access to this platform.
