The reconstruction of 16 rail stations throughout Serbia will begin soon, whereby the project of the development of rail stations continues. Of the 16 stations planned for reconstruction, 14 are in Vojvodina, and RSD 202 million will be invested in the works on all of them, said the minister of construction, transport and infrastructure of Serbia, on TV Prva.

Among other things, the reconstruction will encompass the repair of the facades, roofs, carpentry and joinery, the repair of the installations and sanitary blocks, as well as other interior and exterior works.

He reminded that, in 2023, a total of 27 rail stations had been reconstructed in the country.

Many of these facilities will be reconstructed for the first time after a longer time period, which is why they are dilapidated and in a very bad condition – Vesic emphasized and added that those were rail facilities not encompassed by the most important infrastructure project or the construction of the fast railroad.

Vesic also announced that, in addition to that project of the reconstruction of 16 stations, the rail station New Belgrade would be developed as well.
