Spanish ID Energy Group Buys Three Solar Projects in Serbia – Company Announces Development of Solar Capacities of 200 MWp by 2026

Projects in advanced phases of development have been acquired and their construction should take place next year. Other details have not been announced.
– Thanks to the acquisition of 3 solar projects at an advanced stage, we consolidated ID Energy Group's portfolio in the country. The construction of these projects will take place during 2025 and will have a combined installed capacity of more than 40 MWp, bringing us closer to the goal of developing 200 MWp in the country by 2026 – the Spanish company, which opened its office in Belgrade in 2022, says in the LinkedIn post.
Foreign media write that this move highlights the role of Serbia as a key player in the transition toward green energy.
– ID Energy Group's foray into Serbia follows its successful establishment in Hungary, Poland, and Lithuania, signaling a strategic move to tap into the burgeoning solar market in the Balkans – writes BNN Breaking.
They add that the acquisition of the three solar projects not only boosts ID Energy's portfolio but also plays a crucial role in accelerating Serbia's renewable energy development.
