Solar Power First Company in Montenegro to Get Building Permit for Construction of Solar Power Plant

The Podgorica-based company Solar Power is the first and currently the only company in Montenegro to meet all the conditions proscribed by the state for the construction of a solar power plant, which has resulted in the issuing of the building permit.

This company has recognized the potentials of Montenegro in the production of electrical energy from renewable sources, so it will build the solar power plant Cevo with a total power of 150 MW on Cetinje.

For the realization of this investment, the state has issued urban planning and technical requirements to Solar Power, and they have also received approval of the Environmental Impact Assessment Study. Another important item is the contract on connecting to the power distribution network, which was signed with Crnogorski elektroprenosni system (CGES).
