The introduction of green corridors is planned from March, the president of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, stated in Tirana and added that, at the Western Balkans Summit, the topics of the conversations were primarily administrative and border crossings.

– I believe that, by March, we can introduce the so-called green corridors. Today, we talked primarily about border crossings. In five years, we lose EUR 163 million on the paperwork at the border crossings. We will have to do plenty more. This is something real, something concrete – Vucic stated at the press conference after the summit.

He added that, upon his return to Belgrade, he would form a team for the solving of those problems, which would be led by the minister of finance of Serbia, Sinisa Mali, and that the summit had been of essential importance for the business connections with Europe and for “the people who will benefit a lot from it.”

At today’s Western Balkans Summit, which is dedicated to The Growth Plan and the Single Market, of the leaders of the region, in addition to Vucic and the Albanian prime minister, Edi Rama, who is the host, the prime minister of North Macedonia, Talat Xhaferi, and the chairwoman of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Borjana Kristo, also participated.
