The Government of Serbia has adopted the decision determining the public interest for the expropriation, that is, the administrative transfer of immovable property to the end of the construction of a public purpose area – a pedestrian corridor/promenade beneath which the underground route of the subway line 2 is planned, and designated the City of Belgrade as the beneficiary of the expropriation.

This is the promenade which is also planned by the Detailed Regulation Plan of the block between Nemanjina, Svetozara Markovica, Kralja Milana and Kralja Milutina streets, that is, between Slavija and the Manjez Park.

According to that document, the pedestrian corridor, that is, the promenade, is planned as an attractive promenade with a tree lane and a fire-protection traffic route.

With a total width of 16 meters, the promenade is supposed to separate the zone of public services (the National Bank of Serbia building) and the commercial-residential facilities in the block. It will consist of the existing fire-protection road along the NBS, 5 meters wide, and a pedestrian plaza with a tree lane, 11 meters wide.

The promenade, as said, should connect with Svetozara Markovica and Kralja Milutina streets, that is, link the open public spaces: the Manjez Park and the Slavija Square.

Also, in this location, the construction of the residential-commercial facility called King’s Circle Residences, is in progress as well, whose investor is Maison Royal. The construction of over two hundred apartments in four units, with an accompanying spa center and children’s playground and a large number of garages, is planned.
