This Serbian Town is the Most Attractive to Investors in Europe

The fDi magazine, a publication of the British Financial Times, in its “European Cities and Regions of the Future 2024” report, puts Belgrade in the high 7th place in the category of large European cities when it comes to human capital, whereas Leskovac places 1st as the most attractive small city to investors.

This list ranks the best investment locations in Europe, and Serbia stands out with several cities and regions which have placed among the best locations for investments.

This year as well, Belgrade has placed among the best in its category, and Leskovac is the winner in the category of small cities.

In addition to Belgrade and Leskovac, the reputable British business magazine has also ranked Kragujevac in the category of mid-sized cities in the 8th place regarding cost effectiveness, and the FT list also features Simanovci, Zrenjanin and Subotica.

When it comes to Belgrade, according to fDi, in the “Human Capital and Lifestyle” group, the capital of Serbia has placed 7th because it stands out for its rich cultural scene, high standard of living and varied education options, making it attractive to foreign experts and young talents.

Above all, the IT industry and the service industry have been highlighted, and these results are also confirmed by the numerous foreigners who have come to live and work in Belgrade in the past few years.

In the “Cost Effectiveness” group, Belgrade has placed 9th, because it offers competitive costs of living and doing business compared to other European cities, which is attractive to companies looking for economical business operations. Belgrade has placed 8th in the “Business Friendliness” group, considering that it is known for its favorable business environment, simple administrative procedures and support to foreign investors.
