New Acquisition in Local IT Market – HTEC Acquires SYRMIA

HTEC, a company for consulting, software engineering and development of digital products, founded in Belgrade and with the current seat in San Francisco, has acquired the Belgrade-based company SYRMIA.

With this acquisition, HTEC is expanding its team in Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina and the capacities in the field of artificial intelligence, machine learning and embedded software engineering, creating added value and new possibilities for clients and employees of both companies.

The HTEC team will be joined by 250 engineers, with experience in various fields, with a focus on embedded software, machine learning and development of advanced technologies in the automotive industry and multimedia.


HTEC was founded in 2008 as a startup, at the technological incubator of the University of Belgrade. Today, it is present in 23 locations worldwide.

SYRMIA was founded in Novi Sad in 2018, and it has development centers in Belgrade, Nis, Novi Sad and Banjaluka.
