This year, the privatization of 13 state companies might happen, and among them are Lasta, Jugoinspekt and Stamparija Borba from Belgrade, Trayal Korporacija from Krusevac, Toza Markovic from Kikinda, JAT Apartmani, as well as RTV Kragujevac. The Ministry of Economy has updated the database of the companies for privatization and said that for 41 companies, among which are nine local spas, for various reasons, the opening of public calls is not possible at the moment.

The Vranje-based companies Yumco and Simpo, as well as Tigar Pirot, are first waiting for the completion of the activities related to the Pre-Packaged Reorganization Plans (PPRPs). For the same reason, for the time being, the privatization procedures for Politika, FAM Hemofluid and Energetika from Kragujevac will not be initiated.

The privatization of the Resavica mine has been stopped for now because, as explained, “the further activities depend on the decisions of the Government of the Republic of Serbia, which has a 67.14% ownership share.”

According to this plan, local spas, the nine that are on the list, will not be seeking buyers this year either.

For Termal from Vrdnik, Gejzer from Sijarinska Banja, Niska Banja, Banja Koviljaca, as well as the special hospitals in Bujanovac, Ribarska Banja and Zlatibor, as said, “the further implementation of the privatization procedures depends on the final outcome of the court procedures that are currently run between the Pension and Disability Insurance Fund of the Republic of Serbia as the plaintiff and the special hospitals and the Republic of Serbia as the defendants for the purpose of determining the percentage of the ownership of the Pension and Disability Insurance Fund of the Republic of Serbia in the property of the special hospitals.” On the other hand, for Sokobanja and Merkur from Vrnjacka Banja, the court procedure between the Pension and Disability Insurance Fund of the Republic of Serbia as the plaintiff and the Special Hospital and the Republic of Serbia as the defendants for the purpose of determining the percentage of the ownership of the Pension and Disability Insurance Fund of the Republic of Serbia in the property of the special hospitals has been validly terminated, but the registration of the acquired rights in the public books, as an important elements for the further implementation of the privatization procedure, has not yet been done.

For 12 companies, among which are Termoelektrane Kosovo, EPS Povrsinksi Kopovi from Obilic and Holding Trepca from Zvecan, it is currently not possible to open public calls, because, as stated in the database of the Ministry of Economy, these are companies in the territory of the Autonomous Province of Kosovo and Metohija.
