Training Center of Aviation Academy in Vrsac to Get Runway and Heliport – Tender for Preparation of Project-Technical Documentation Published

The Delegation of the European Union to Serbia has published the tender for the design of the runway and the heliport for the Training Center of the Aviation Academy in Vrsac.

The value of the tender has been estimated at EUR 335,000, and the financing is planned through the project of the Dual Education Training Center, financed with a loan from the Council of Europe Development Bank.

Let us remind that, in August last year, the Office for Dual Education and the National Qualifications Framework opened the public call for the preparation of the project-technical documentation for the purposes of the reconstruction of the complex of the Aviation Academy – Training Center in Vrsac.

It was said at the time that the complex of the Aviation Academy was located in Block 133 in the cadaster municipality Vrsac and that it was meant for the Pilot School Training Center.

– The existing condition of the complex is dilapidated and the facilities which are located there are not functional and are worn out. The technology of the facilities has been rendered obsolete for the type of education and those facilities need to be upgraded to the level which would enable a modern level of education of aviation professionals – the documentation said at the time.

As announced earlier, the investment worth EUR 40 million which will be used for turning the Pilot Academy in Vrsac into a dual education training center will entail the reconstruction of hotels, restaurants, outdoor courts and a sports hall, new classrooms and accommodation capacities will be built, and a spa center and an indoor pool, as well as a heliport, will be built too, and the existing runway will be expanded, whereas the control tower and the hangar will be reconstructed. The procurement of helicopters and airplanes is planned as well.
