The president of the Municipality of Indjija, Vladimir Gak, announced that the foundation stone for the new Japanese investment in Indjija would be laid down on March 18, local media report. Gak said that it was a company which operated in the automotive industry and that the 200 jobs would be created in the first phase.
The media also report that the company produces rotors and electric motors (wipers and lifts) for the biggest automotive industry brands and that they cooperate with the Japanese companies Toyo Tires and Nidec, which already operate in Serbia.
It was announced earlier that the value of the investment was EUR 40 million.
It can be seen on the website of the Serbian Business Registers Agency (SBRA) that the company was founded in Serbia in June last year and that its predominant activities are listed as the forging, pressing, cutting and rolling of metal and powder metallurgy, as well as that it is owned by the Japanese JFE Shoji Corporation.
The new factory is to be located in close proximity to the Outlet Shopping Center, right next to the parcel where the Aqua Park is being built.
