New Chinese Shopping Center to Open by May – Works to Be Stepped Up Following Latest Fire at Old Center

The new Chinese Shopping Center in New Belgrade should be opened by May at the latest. As Zou Junyong stated today ahead of the company Eurasia Trade Center, which is building the new facility, an urgent meeting will be held tomorrow so that the works would be additionally accelerated and so that the new shopping center would open as soon as possible, and by May at the latest.

This question has been made even more current by the new fire at the old Chinese shopping center in Block 70. Zou Junyong, as he pointed out, has been with representatives of the Chinese embassy in front of the burning building the whole day.

– We are asking the City of Belgrade and the Republic of Serbia to help us so that everything would be clean and in line with the law and so that we would move in our business people as soon as possible, so that they can start working. The Chinese in Serbia have lost a lot, they have had two big fires in the past two and a half years – said Zou Junyong.

The fire at the Chinese shopping center in Block 70 broke out early this morning, engulfing everything in its path, and it has been heard on the site that there are suspicions that a worker at one of the stores switched on the heater upon arriving to work, which then caused the fire.

When it comes to the new shopping center, it will have two business buildings, and Building A will be opened first. As pointed out earlier, in the two big facilities with new business space, a total of 475 outlets will be offered to the tenants.
