London-Based Company Menzies Aviation to Take Over Ground Handling at Belgrade Airport

Menzies Aviation will take over the jobs of ground handling at the Belgrade Airport from February 22.

The minister of construction, transport and infrastructure of Serbia, Goran Vesic, today met with Philipp Joeinig, director at Menzies Aviation, which had signed the agreement with the Serbian national airline carrier Air Serbia for the carrying out of the ground handling jobs at the Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport, the competent ministry announced.

They will take over the jobs of ground handling at the Belgrade Airport from February 22, Vesic said at the meeting at the Government of Serbia.

– We are here to help you, as a state, in line with the law and I promise that you won’t have to wait for a single procedure to be finished for even an hour longer than the law proscribes, so that there would be no problems like last year and so that all the passengers who buy a ticket would get the service they paid for and travel without delays – said Vesic.

As announced by the ministry of construction, transport and infrastructure, this is a company which is a leading global partner for the services of ground handling and which operates on six continents on around 255 airports in over 60 countries, serving over 4,000,000 flights a year and handling over 2,000,000 tons of cargo.
