For the first time, Air Serbia has surpassed Wizz Air in the number of flights and the available capacity and become the biggest transporter in the market of the countries of former Yugoslavia during the first quarter of 2024.

Wizz Air has temporarily reduced its network during the three-month period compared the initial flight schedule, due to the need to examine the aircraft equipped with the most modern version of the Pratt & Whitney engine.

Air Serbia has also reduced its network during the first quarter compared to the initial plan, but will still be slightly ahead of Wizz Air in the region, with an offer of 1.23 million seats and over 10,200 flights.

Those indicators are higher by 33.5%, that is, 28.3%, compared to last year.

During the first quarter, the busiest lines of Air Serbia in terms of available capacities are Istanbul, Podgorica, Zurich, Moscow, Paris, Athens, Tivat and Barcelona.
