Rehabilitation Center Near Knjazevac to Get New Features – Tender for Equipping of Wellness and Spa Center at Banjica Vacation Site Opened

The Municipality of Knjazevac has opened the public procurement for the works on the equipping of the rehabilitation center in Banjica. This is a new facility at the Banjica vacation site in the village of Rgoste, not far from Knjazevac, whose construction began in mid-2022.

The value of the works has been estimated at RSD 25.7 million.

The tender, which is split into two lots, envisages works on air-conditioning (heating and cooling), as well as the heating of the sanitary hot water for the office facility. The second lot envisages the equipping of a wellness and spa center. The future spa center will have a warm bench, hydromassage tubs, a Finnish sauna and a steam bath.

The deadline for the execution of the works is 60 calendar days from the possession of the site.

In mid-2023, the Public Enterprise for the Development, Urban Planning and Construction of the Municipality of Knjazevac opened the public procurement procedure for the preparation of an exploratory hole in the territory of the village of Rgoste near Knjazevac. This is the first phase, for which an agreement was signed at the end of March this year between the Municipality of Knjazevac and the Cabinet of the Minister without portfolio in charge of improving the development of underdeveloped municipalities.

This tender was stopped, because no bid had been sent by interested contractors.

The tender envisaged the establishment of a deep exploratory hole with an estimated depth of up to 300 m with the accompanying hydrodynamic and hydrochemical testing of the quantity and quality of ground waters that would encompass thermal mineral waters or ground waters with higher temperatures. The borehole is located on the periphery of Knjazevac, in close proximity to the thermal mineral springs of Rgoska Banja.
