American investment fund Darby invests 55 millions dollars in Serbia
American investment fund "Darby" decided to invest 55 millions dollars in Serbia. Behind this decision is Sheldon Lubar, from Milwaki, one of the biggest investors in the state of Visconsin, who founded this fund in 1994 together with the former American minister of financies Nickolas Brady.
So far they invested 1.2 billions dollars mostly in Asia and Latin America. A part of the fund of 300 millions dollars is asigned for Eastern Europe.
Mr Lubar intends to separate 15% of this part of the fund for Serbia, which is 45 millions dollars, while he adds another 10 millions - explains the general consul of SCG in Chicago, Desko Nikitovic.
The Fund delegation in which are directors Rober Grapham and Johan Bastin will today arrive to Belgrade where they should meet with the Serbian president Boris Tadic, and a large number of ministers of the Government of Serbia, wise president of the Chamber of commerce of Serbia and our commercial businessmen.
