Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure of Serbia Goran Vesic and Minister of Transport and Communications of North Macedonia Blagoj Bocvarski today signed the Memorandum on cooperation between the relevant ministries of the two countries on the establishment of a high-performance railway network.

The memorandum envisages the implementation of the project of construction of a high-speed railway from Nis to Skopje, for which the two countries will jointly seek funding from the European Union, as announced on the website of the Government of Serbia.

The signing of the memorandum was attended by Prime Minister of Serbia Ana Brnabic and Prime Minister of North Macedonia Dimitar Kovacevski.

Vesic previously announced that the designing of the Nis-Presevo section, 135 kilometers long, was in progress, and that the North Macedonian partners would design around 50 km from the border to Skopje.
