Construction of the main postal center Beograd, which commenced in late 2010, is going as planned. Construction of that facility in Ugrinovacka street, in the vicinity of the highway, which will serve as an international, regional and local postal-logistics center, has been entrusted to companies Inter-kop and Termoinzenjering.
As people at Inter-kop told eKapija, the agreed value of works is EUR 15.8 million and the construction is expected to be completed in April 2012.
- We have won this job together with Termoinzenjering and, for the time being, everything goes as planned. In this project, Inter-kop works on reinforced concrete structure, carries out earth works and builds roads, while Termoinzenjering works on plumbing and sewerage installations, internal thermal insulation, heating and cooling systems, etc. – Rasko Gospavic, director of the Civil Engineering Division at Inter-kop.
The project design is entrusted to Masinoprojekt, while the company Modular is entrusted with the technical control of all projects within the center.
In that technologically modern space in Zemun, covering an area of 5.7 ha, the public company PTT Saobracaj Srbija will move its business units from the current facility at the Sava plateau. The main postal center Beograd, spanning about 28,000 square meters, will comprise several facilities such as production halls (automated mail sorting, hybrid mail, post-express, business service, mail and package processing in international traffic) and an administrative building, spanning about 23,000 square meters.
