For modernization of electric filters in Thermal electrical station Kostolac A European Agency for reconstruction gives 5 millions eur
Danijel Djuglaris, chief of the European agency for reconstruction in Serbia and Dragan Zivkovic, director of TE-KO Kostolac signed a Contract of donation for the modernization of electric filters on block 2 in TE Kostolac A, worth 5 millions eur.
By installing this filter the problem of air pollution would be solved which occures as a consequence of combustion of coal in thermal electrical stations. However the filters for air cleaning already exist, because of their bad condition and lasting, the emission of dangerous particles is at the moment 23 times bigger from the european standard. By this project it is in plan to exchange three filters which would bring the standard of the work of this thermal electrical station to the level valid in European countries, in the matter of living environment.
The second project will be realized in thermal electrical station Nikola Tesla B in Obrenovac, and it will deal with the problem of flying dust which occures as a cosequence of dust transport.
