The state has opened the Public Invitation for the selection of the partner which will finance the installation of sixteen “green stations” on highways in our country. It will be possible to install at least 80, and at most 320 chargers for electric cars, with at least two charging slots on each charger and with a minimum power of 150 kW per charger, stated the minister of transport, construction and infrastructure, Goran Vesic.

– This way, we are reacting to the need to install a higher number of electric chargers for the chagrining of electric cars on state roads and to the requests to better develop the existing rests, to have them be cleaner and to have them provide more content to those who make a stop there – Vesic says about the reasons why the chargers are being installed and adds that “it’s high time Serbian roads were equipped with electric vehicle chargers, because, as there are more and more such vehicles in Europe, primarily foreign drivers will otherwise start avoiding our roads.”

According to Vesic, there are currently around a hundred chargers for electric cars on the roads.

According to him, the PE Roads of Serbia will not invest a single dinar in installing the green stations. Instead, it will earn from rent, and the estimated value of the investment of the company which wins at the tender is RSD 768,000,000.00. Bids may be submitted by November 21.

Minister Vesic has invited all local and foreign companies which install electric vehicle chargers to apply to the tender and make a bid. He emphasized that the PE Roads of Serbia was looking for a financier which would invest in the equipment, which would be owned by the PE Roads of Serbia, and the funds would be available for a set number of years, with the payment of an annual fee to the Roads. Upon the expiration of that deadline, the PE Roads of Serbia will continue managing the built infrastructure.
