Plan for Another Facility of Minth in Sabac – Factory on 84,000 m2 Which Will Produce 760,000 Casings for e-Car Batteries a Year

The Chinese company Minth Automotive Europe has filed a request to the competent ministry for approving the environmental impact assessment study of the project of the construction of the automotive industry production complex in Sabac.

According to the document which was prepared by the design studio Set doo from Sabac in August, the plan is to build a facility for the production of aluminum casings and casing parts for batteries for electric cars on a parcel of 184,323 m2.

The location of the facility is in the industrial zone of the City of Sabac (business zone North) in the settlement of Majur, within the existing complex of the company Minth with the same activity.

In addition to the planned location, there is the built facility UATE (United Alloy-Tech Europe doo), which belongs to Minth, and next to the parcel is the facility of the Minal smelter, which will be technologically connected with the future complex, says the document.

The construction of the facility entails a production facility, a water treatment facility, waste storage and other accompanying facilities, with a total gross developed area of 84,736.53 m2.

Annually, the complex will produce around 760,000 units, which are components of aluminum casings for batteries, or battery casings themselves.

Within the production hall, a serial production line, extrusion lines, an individual production line and a production line for assembling battery casings, are planned.

As said, the production complex is supposed to function according to the most modern BAT technology, whereby the environmental impact is strictly defined, so that the nearest residential facilities are protected from the unwanted byproducts of the operations.

The Chinese producer of car parts Minth already has a factory in Sabac, and they have announced the opening of another three in that city.
