European Investment Bank Ready to Support Economy of Serbia

The European Investment Bank (EIB) is ready to provide financial support which will additionally strengthen the economy of Serbia, the representatives of this financial institution said at the meeting with the minister of economy of Serbia, Slobodan Cvetkovic. The minister and his associates met today with the EIB Global Head of Unit, Kadir Bahcecik, Head of Regional Representation for Western Balkans, Alessandro Bragonzi, and the Manager for Projects in Serbia, Olesya Muratova.

Cvetkovic pointed out that there was good cooperation with the EIB and added that he expected it to continue in the coming period.

– Over 110 million from the EIB, which will go through the Development Fund, will provide an additional push forward and stimulate the growth of the private sector and increase the economic activities – Cvetkovic said and added that the interest of the economy in more favorable capital was great, especially considering the importance of small and medium enterprises to the functioning of the entire economy, which is invaluable.
