Cvetkovic pointed out that the economic cooperation of the two partner countries was improving, as shown by a significant number of Turkish investments in Serbia.
He said that he expected new Turkish factories to open in Serbia, especially considering the stable economic situation in Serbia, which had become an attractive destination for investors.
Also, the minister emphasized that, in addition to the Turkish investments, it was very important that Turkey helped with the realization of infrastructure projects in Serbia.
According to him, the total volume of the goods trade between Serbia and Turkey in the first seven months of 2023 amounted to EUR 1.297 billion, but there was a big deficit in the goods trade on the Serbian side.
Serbia imported more than it exported, Cvetkovic noted and added that, in the coming period, the country should work on reducing the deficit.
