Miroslav Tomasevic, the dismissed acting director of EPS, has been fired, and the decision has been put up on the bulletin board. The employee’s refusal to sign, with the employer, the labor agreement annex offered to him for the purpose of moving him to another job is cited as the reason for the firing. Employees at EPS believe that this firing amounts to the authorities’ revenge against a man who has expertise and integrity. Miroslav Tomasevic was the acting director of EPS who was dismissed this June and brought back to the job on July 3, after an annual leave.

Those familiar with the events in EPS say that his firing is not a surprise.

– Tomasevic didn’t deserve it. He is an example of how people with expertise, integrity and honor run a company like EPS. In a short period, he managed to turn a sinking company into one which started making profit again. This obviously didn’t suit certain structures in the top state authorities and this is their way of exacting revenge against people – Dragoslav Ljubicic, the commissioner of the “Nezavisnost” trade union and an employee at TENT, said for the Vreme weekly.

Miroslav Tomasevic was appointed acting director in March 2022.
