Festlent announces REBEC real estate and investment development conference in Belgrade at Real Vienna expo
At the recently finished expo Real Vienna, the publisher of AG Real Estate magazine and the organizer of REBEC event - Festlent, which was one of exhibitors at the National Booth of Serbia in the hall D of the trade fair in Vienna, drew a significant attention of the visitors by presenting the new issue of AG Real Estate magazine and distributing an innovated leaflet announcing REBEC 2011.
What is also very important is the participation of Aleksandar Opsenica, editor-in-chief of AG Real Estate magazine and director of REBEC, as a speaker in a panel discussion dedicated to the hotel and tourism industry development. The accent was on the development of the Adriatic coastal area as an exceptional investment destination for hotel and tourism contents, but, having in mind the context of the topic, the geographic aspect of the discussion was expanded to include the potentials in Serbia as well.
The panel moderator was Gerhard Rodler, publisher of Immobilien magazine and editor of IMMOflash specialized TV station focusing on real estate development issues. Other speakers were Pierre Vachar, director of Jupiter Adria, which is currently develping 6 tourist-hotel contents at the Croatian seaside, and Otmar Michaeler, CEO of Falkensteiner Michaeler Turism Group, which last Friday ceremoniously laid the cornerstone in Block 11a in Belgrade for its first "mix use" project (hotel-office complex), designed by professor Boris Podrecca.
It should also be mentioned that the general conclusion is that the market of Serbia ranks quite high and that the administrative efforts aimed at attracting interested investors to Serbia through investments in infrastructure have been recognized. However, another conclusion is that the development strategy for aforementioned segment in the region is neither clear nor complete because, as Michaeler explained, there is no difference in Croatia, Serbia and Montenegro regarding the time it takes to issue permits and implement all activities by local administrations that should back the efforts of investors.
Representatives of ImmoRent, Accor, Residor hotel chain, Soravia, CMS, PortoMontenegro project, one of vice presidents of Kempinsky Group, and State Secretary for Tourism in the Ministry of Economy and Regional Development Dr. Goran Petkovic have already confirmed their participation in panel discussions dedicated to the development of hotels and accompanying tourist contents in Serbia at this year's REBEC.
According to our sources, the final list of REBEC speakers will be published until next Wednesday, which should additionally increase the interest of representatives from the country and the region in attending and taking part in this year's REBEC event.
