EPS Planning Upgrade of Hydro Information System at HPP Djerdap 1 – RSD 38 Million Set Aside for the Purpose

Elektroprivreda Srbije (EPS) has opened the public call for the upgrade of the hydro information system at HPP Djerdap 1 – version 2023. The value of the procurement without the VAT is RSD 38 million.

Considering the development so far, the following goals need to be achieved in 2023:

– leveling the hydraulic-hydro energy model according to the most recent surveys of the river beds of the Danube and its tributaries;
– updating all the software components which rely on the new hydraulic-hydro energy model so that the use of the hydro information system (HIS) Djerdap can continue without obstruction;
– enabling the constant insight (24/7) into the state of the accumulation and the realization of the plans and the hydro energy structures through a mobile app;
– expanding the capacity of the expert services of the HPP Djerdap branch and AD EPS, through their further enabling for an efficient use and maintenance of HIS Djerdap, in the function of a continuous insight into the used and available hydro potential, the distribution of the potential with the Romanian side, as well as daily calculations of the production of electrical energy with the maximization of the profit in line with the market prices and the minimization of the penalties in the case of the violation of the limitations defined by the ZDSE Rulebook;
– training the expert IT staff for administrative jobs and the maintenance of the innovated hardware and software components of HIS Djerdap;
– determining the degree of functionality of the hardware and software components in the period following the realization of the previous development phase and forming recommendations for the upgrade and maintenance of the components.

– It can be concluded that, with the meeting of the goals in 2023, a significant step will be made toward creating the conditions for enabling timely decision-making regarding the planning of the production and the distribution of the hydro potentials between the Serbian and Romanian sides, by the dispatch centers of AD EPS and the HPP Djerdap 1 and the HPP Djerdap 2 – it is said in the technical description of the project.
