Centers of Excellence of University of Kragujevac Should Be Opened by Year-End

The Centers of Excellence of the University of Kragujevac, in whose construction the state invested EUR 14 million, should be opened by the end of the year.

The space of the institute for information technologies will also accommodate a science-technology park.

The Centers of Excellence consist of three parts, bioengineering, biomedicine and stem cell research.

By the end of the year, researchers from the Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Engineering Sciences and the Institute for Information Technologies, who will work in the field of biomedical research, are expected to move in.

The equipment which is meant for stem cell research is also expected to be ordered soon.

The new feature is that the space of the Institute for Information Technologies will contain the Science-Technology Park, but only temporarily, because its new location will be in the Innovation District, next to the DATA Center.

When the conditions are secured for the Institute for Information Technologies of the Faculty of Medicine to move in, the Science-Technology Park will start working as well.
