A special company will be in charge of preparing the Expo Belgrade 2027 project

According to the rules of the International Bureau of Exhibitions (BIE), a new company Expo Belgrade 2027 needs to be established, in order to exclusively deal with the implementation of the project. This was stated by the Minister of Finance, Sinisa Mali, while chairing the Coordination Team for monitoring the preparation of the international specialized exhibition Expo Belgrade 2027, which will be held in Belgrade from May 15 to August 15, 2027, with the theme "Game(s) for humanity - sport and music for all"/"Play for Humanity – Sport and Music for All", the Government's official website reports.

As he added, one part of the activity will be focused on the construction of facilities, and the other will concern the organization itself.

At the session, it was also proposed to form subgroups that would deal with financial issues, monitoring the implementation of projects, legal issues, as well as the implementation of marketing and promotional activities.

Mali said that up to three million people from all over the world are expected to visit Belgrade and Serbia in those months, which will have a huge positive impact on various sectors in our country.

The planned Expo complex will be located in an area with good traffic connections, between the Belgrade ring road and the Milos the Great highway, in the territory of the municipality of Surcin.

The complex will include fair halls, pavilions, accommodation facilities and commercial facilities and will be connected to the city center and the airport, according to the Government's website.

According to the plan, approximately 100 countries will have exhibition spaces within the facilities, and four pavilions will be dedicated to the theme of the exhibition, and there will also be a central Serbian pavilion.
