The Belgrade Commercial Court opened bankruptcy proceedings against the company Bauwesen d.o.o. Lazarevac, based on the proposal of OTP Bank. As it is stated, the reason for the bankruptcy proceedings is the "permanent inability to pay the bankrupt debtor".

The Commercial Court invites creditors to report their claims within 120 days, and debtors to fulfill their obligations.

The first creditor's hearing where the report on the economic and financial position of this company will be discussed is scheduled for September 12, whereas the examination hearing will be held on January 23, 2024.

To remind our readers, the company from Lazarevac was involved in several projects throughout Serbia, including the reconstruction of the railway from Prokuplje to Kursumlija.

The local authorities in Nis and Leskovac were dissatisfied with the works on their main city squares, and terminated the contract with this company and charged penalties.

Also, the Hospitality Service of the Republic of Srpska terminated the contract with Bauwesen, which was at the time working on the upgrade and adaptation of Hotel Partizan Jahorina.

This company has also participated in the tender for the sale of 92% of the capital of the Jaroslav Cerni Institute of Water Management.
